Una dintre cele mai apreciate romane din literatura mondială a ajuns în Hollywood odată cu premierele mondiale ale filmului Wuthering Heights de Emerald Fennell. Potrivit deadline.com, scriitoarea și regizoarea a pășit pe covorul roșu miercuri, la TCL Chinese Theatre, alături de membrii distribuției Margot Robbie, Jacob Elordi, Hong Chau, Alison Oliver, Shazad Latif și alții, celebrând adaptarea romanului publicat de Emily Brontë în 1847.

Printre cei prezenți s-au numărat și Charli XCX, Kathryn Newton, Gideon Adlon, Kate Berlant și alții. Fennell a recunoscut că a luat anumite libertăți creative, titlul fiind stilizat cu ghilimele „Wuthering Heights”, deoarece „nu poți adapta o carte atât de densă, complicată și dificilă precum aceasta.” “Nu pot spune că fac Wuthering Heights. Nu este posibil. Ceea ce pot spune este că fac o versiune a ei,” a declarat ea pentru Fandango.
