Creșterea alarmantă a cazurilor de cancer tiroidian discutată pe Tomis TV

În cadrul emisiunii "Punctul pe i", difuzată la Tomis TV și moderată de jurnalistul Cristian Hagi, medicul specialist a abordat subiectul supra-specializării în medicină și a discutat despre incidenta cancerului de tiroidă.

Medicul a subliniat că numărul cazurilor de cancer tiroidian este în continuă creștere, afectând din ce în ce mai multe persoane tinere. „Cu câțiva ani în urmă, era o raritate să întâlnești un pacient de 20 de ani cu cancer papilar tiroidian. Acum, a devenit o rutină să operezi astfel de pacienți săptămânal”, a explicat specialistul. El a adăugat că, în prezent, nu este o surpriză să descoperi cancer tiroidian la adolescenți de 16 ani.

Deși datele la nivel național lipsesc, medicul a menționat că, în cazul în care cancerul este depistat în stadii incipiente, tratamentul este extrem de eficient. Intervențiile chirurgicale au o rată de succes de aproape 100%, conform experienței sale, având realizate peste 5.000 de operații.

Începând din luna septembrie, medicul va oferi consultații și va realiza intervenții și în orașul Constanța, extinzându-și astfel servicile pentru pacienți.
